DRY VAN
These are the most commonly used general purpose containers. Dry van containers are ideally used for shipping/export or ground level storage of commodities in bundles, cartons, boxes, loose cargo and furniture. Dry van container types range from 20ft, 40ft, 45ft and 40 ft containers.
OPEN TOP
Open top containers are modeled for transporting large pieces of cargo which cannot be loaded through the door. These container types have the bottom, side and end walls permanently fixed and has a removable tarpaulin cover and roof bows in place of a roof. The removable tarpaulin on top makes it easy to load the cargo through the roof. Open top containers are most commonly utilized for transporting machinery, sheet glass, marble, building material and lumber. The available ranges are 20 & 40ft
HIGH CUBE
The high cube container is also a general purpose container, which is similar to the dry van. This container is 1ft higher than the general purpose container and could be obtained in various ranges as 20ft & 40ft, 9' 6" High.
FLAT RACK
These are specialized containers which are covered only at the base and at the ends designed for heavy & dimensional cargo. Flat track containers are used for carrying awkward and oversize loads such as machinery, cables, drums, sheet and steel coils, heavy vehicles, timber and forestry products.
TANKTAINERS
Tanktainers are utilized for transporting of liquid, chemical or food. These specific containers are also suitable for hazardous substances such as toxic, corrosive and highly flammable liquids as well as non-hazardous substance such as oils, plasticers, resins, natural or synthetic latex, milk, still beers, wine and mineral water.
REFRIGERATED
Refrigerated or reefer containers are used for transporting perishable cargo which requires freezing or cooling such as meat products, vegetables, fruits and dairy products. The temperature of the reefer should be monitored and set according to the product it is bound to transport.
